Educational Objectives of the Academic Foundation Programs

In keeping with the demands of today's society for diversified abilities, these programs aim to help students establish good study habits and self-management skills, and to improve the basic academic skills that will lead to professional skills. Students will study in groups, improve their communication skills, logical thinking, and ability to take action. They will also learn about technological management, and acquire a sense of ethics in order to have successful professional careers in the future. We will produce human resources with "intellect", "sensitivity" and "moral quality".

In order to produce "engineers who think and act for themselves", we teach basic knowledge and skills that are common to all fields of study in engineering, so that students will be able to use them in problem solving. Students acquire knowledge and skills with regard to experiments, plan and implement experiments, and improve their observation and thinking skills. They collect information and work collaboratively in groups to present solutions to problems in society, and then verify their effectiveness through experimental methods.
