CDIO ACADEMY 2018

Welcome to the 2018 CDIO Academy to be held at the Kanazawa Institute of Technology in Kanazawa, Japan from June 28 to July 1, 2018. Forty undergraduate engineering students from all over the world will work together in Kanazawa to research, design, build, test and present their ideas. Some of the world’s modern technologies including Dassault Systemes “3DEXPERIENCE Platform,” will be used in students' projects to build on the conference theme, “Innovations in Engineering Education”. Students will form remote interschool teams and use online collaboration tools provided by the “3DEXPERIENCE Platform” (including social, ideation and CAD tools) to discuss and design their ideas before coming to Kanazawa.

* Please note that the Academy will begin with a reception on Thursday evening, June 28th. The CDIO 2018 Conference Reception will run at the same time and venue.

* Pre-assignments will start in May. Teams will be assigned at the beginning of June, and participants are required to actively participate in Pre-Camp Collaboration activities (online team work) leading up to the Academy.

* Participants will be placed in teams with students from other universities so that no team has two students from the same school.
