About Subject Librarians(SLs)

Subject Librarians(SLs)

Subject Librarians (SLs) are advisors to support students when they use the Library Center (LC). SLs are comprised of faculty members who are selected from the various department and major programs at KIT and ICT. SLs collect information such as the selection of books and journals in each field, and they have a responsibility for the developing the collection in the LC. SLs also give students advice and reference services about their studies at the Learning Support Desk.

Learning Support Desk

Learning Support DeskOn the 2nd floor in the Library Center, the Learning Support Desk provides students with advice on how to self-study and search for materials relating to coursework. Each Subject Librarian (SL) has an allocated time on the Learning Support Desk. Students can use the following consultation services from the SLs as below.

1) Methods for learning: how to proceed with studies and how to review important points learned in the class.
2) Methods for information gathering: how to select specific books, how to search for materials, and how to use databases.

Please check “Learning Support Desk Schedule” to find SLs in each field.
