Dr. Jun Fudano,
Professor of the History of Science and

Dr. Fudano received his B.A. degree in Liberal Arts (Physics)
from International Christian University, Tokyo, in 1980 and subsequently
his M.A. degree in the History of Science in 1987 and his Ph.D.
in the History of Science in 1990, both from the University of
Oklahoma. He was a Graduate Student Fellow at the National Museum
of American History, Smithsonian Institution, Washington, D.C.
in 1989.
Dr. Fudano joined the faculty of KIT as an Associate
Professor in 1990 and was promoted to Professor in 1994. He also
serves as Director of the Office of International Programs, which
was established in 1992. His research interests include the history
of science and technology (esp. late 19th and early 20th century
physical sciences), ethical issues in science and engineering,
and the institutional history of the U.S. and Japanese universities.
Prof. Mamoru Mukai

Prof. Mukai received his B.A. degree in English from Osaka Gakuin
University, Osaka, in Japan in 1977. In 1982, he graduated from
Saint Michael's College in Vermont with an M.A. in Teaching English
as a Second Language.
Prof. Mukai began to work at Kanazawa Technical
College, an adjunct school of KIT, as an Assistant Professor in
1984 and was promoted to Associate Professor in 1993 and Professor
in 1997. Now he serves as Associate Director of the Office
of International Programs at KIT.
His research interests include intercultural
communications, techniques and materials development for teaching English and classroom dynamics.
Sanae Komori

member. She focuses on international comparison studies.
