Lightweight cotton or cotton-blend shirts are the easiest to pack, wash, and dry. Due to high humidity in Japan, it takes considerable time to dry laundry.

Pick clothes that are easy to dry, and try to dry them by hanging. It sometimes gets cool in the rainy season, so you may need a long sleeve shirt and a sweater.

It is desirable to wear dress clothes at the opening/closing ceremony and the formal oral presentation.

Please take one pair of sneakers for indoor use. Street shoes are prohibited on gym floors in Japan.

A pair of sandal is useful for marine activity.
