Graduate Program in System Design Engineering
Educational Objectives

Our students learn system technology that focuses on humans from the perspective of design engineering. We produce advanced engineers and researchers who have the knowledge of technologies for creating new products including information contents, recognize the relationship between goods, people and the environment systematically, and create products that are beneficial for people and society. We cultivate the ability of students to solve problems from multiple perspectives. Students acquire advanced skills through experiments and practice, and engage in actual manufacturing. They learn to develop projects through collaboration with companies, and study in a wide range of fields while maintaining their involvement with society. They also learn about people-centered manufacturing systems, and improve their research and development skills with regard to new technologies.

Educational Objectives of Subjects

Students learn to develop web applications that allow for just-in-time searches for necessary information in databases, and create 3D digital contents from an ergonomic perspective. They acquire the technological skills to construct the type of media information environment that is necessary for multimedia communication.

Students learn about the characteristics in the modality of the five senses (vision, hearing, touch, taste and smell) to create information contents that respond to and integrate them through the use of support systems.
