Graduate Program in Electrical Engineering and Electronics
Educational Objectives

Electricity is the cleanest and easiest energy to control. The field of electrical and electronic engineering, which involves a wide range of studies concerning electricity from its generation to its application, is an important discipline that forms the basis for the development of an advanced technological society in harmony with the global environment. We teach basic and applied knowledge related to new technologies in the following four fields: 1. Generation of new electric energy and its application; 2. Electronic measurement and control that is widely used in households and industries; 3. Optoelectronics that realizes the transformation between electricity and light, and display systems that appropriately transfer visual information; and 4. Antenna and communication technologies that support the advanced information society. We aim to produce researchers and engineers who have advanced expertise in the field of electrical and electronic engineering, humanity and creativity, and who are able to play an active role in the international community.

Educational Objectives of Subjects

Principles and Rules in Electrical Engineering and Electronics and their Application

Students learn applied mathematics for electrical engineering and electronics, and also study electromagnetics and electrical and electronic circuits, as well as their applications. Also, they learn about advanced technologies in electrical engineering and electronics that are widely used in society, in order to acquire the knowledge and academic basis required to respond to future technological innovation.

Studies in related fields and different fields, and their integration

Students acquire the skills to apply the professional skills they have obtained through their studies in electrical engineering and electronics to different technical fields, in order to create and develop innovative technologies.

Technical Analysis, Problem Finding and Solving

Students learn to analyze problems in past and current technologies in electrical engineering and electronics, identify future problems and solve them. This prepares them to use the technologies for a wide range of applications.

Project Implementation through Document Examination, Field Studies, Hypotheses and Verification

Students learn to investigate and analyze problems through document examination and field studies for researching advanced technologies in electrical engineering and electronics. They also learn to predict the orientation of future technologies, confirm the orientation of projects, and implement them.

Application of Social and Communication Skills and Leadership

Students cultivate their sense of ethics as engineers, and acquire communication and leadership skills in order to use their professional ability fully and become internationally active engineers with a sense of humanity.
