Educational Objectives

In the fields of life science, medicine, biotechnology and nanotechnology, there is a demand for the development of products and services that are based on standards different from conventional engineering standards, and that satisfy the need for individuality, expansion of age groups and widening of values. These products and services are intended not only for Japan, but also for multiple countries and regions on a global scale. In this situation, society demands engineers who have ideas that exceed the framework of conventional engineering, and who are able to launch new industries in the fields of applied bioscience and chemistry, based on life science, medicine, biotechnology and nanotechnology. We aim to produce engineers with fundamental knowledge of applied bioscience and chemistry, who improve their academic ability, application and practical skills through their research in a balanced way, and play an active role in society.

Students acquire the basic knowledge required to start studying applied bioscience and chemistry at the graduate school, and apply it to the study of fundamental and applied subjects as well as professional subjects (Master's research).
