Educational Objectives of the College of Environmental Engineering and Architecture and its Departments
Today's society demands a sustainable environment in which people can live in comfort. Our college offers courses on a wide range of environments from nearby spaces to the global environment. It covers architectural environments including houses and their interior design, regional environmental design such as city planning and urban projects, national environments including transportation, rivers, water and greenery, and the protection of nature and biological diversity in the global environment. We train students to seek comfort, convenience, safety, beauty and energy saving in each environment, and to construct all types of environments from buildings to national infrastructures, while studying in Kanazawa, in the Hokuriku region.

This department teaches students the technological skills required to plan and construct architecture. In today's society, there is a high demand for ecological, comfortable, safe and durable architecture. We aim to produce human resources who have the advanced knowledge and skills to plan, construct and manage the facilities and structures of buildings and cities. Also, students acquire a wide range of fundamental knowledge required of professional architects to plan, design and maintain safe, functional architectural structures and environments, taking economy and productivity into consideration.

In today's society, there is a high demand for safe, secure and sustainable environments that are harmonized with nature. Our department covers the areas of development of regional environments such as city planning and urban development, national environments including traffic, rivers, water and greenery, and global environmental topics such as nature and biodiversity. We aim to produce human resources with a wide range of fundamental knowledge related to planning, design, construction and maintenance of facilities and regions. Students learn about environmental technologies, disaster-prevention technologies, and regional policies for the construction and maintenance of environments including social infrastructures.
