Educational Objectives

In today's society, there is a high demand for safe, secure and sustainable environments that are harmonized with nature. Our department covers the areas of development of regional environments such as city planning and urban development, national environments including traffic, rivers, water and greenery, and global environmental topics such as nature and biodiversity. We aim to produce human resources with a wide range of fundamental knowledge related to planning, design, construction and maintenance of facilities and regions. Students learn about environmental technologies, disaster-prevention technologies, and regional policies for the construction and maintenance of environments including social infrastructures.

Self-formation as Civil and Environmental Engineers
Students learn about the construction industry, which consists of many categories and types of business, through various approaches such as classroom lectures, field trips and lectures by guests. Also, they train their self-formation ability by considering their career path to be civil or environmental engineers.
