Department of Architectural Design
Educational Objectives

This department trains students in architectural planning and design.
People are now demanding luxurious, beautiful and sustainable buildings and regional environments. We aim to produce human resources with advanced knowledge and design skills who can design all kinds of environments from buildings, houses, and interiors to cities and regions. Also, students acquire a wide range of fundamental knowledge required by professional architects in order to construct and maintain safe and comfortable structures and environments, taking economy and productivity into consideration.

Basic Architecture
Students deepen their understanding of architecture through the study in the three fields: architectural planning for user-friendliness and beauty of architecture, architectural structure for people's safety, and architectural environment for people's comfort and health.

Basic Architectural Drawing and Writing
Students learn to express basic information related to architecture and regions, which they have learnt through the study of architectural planning, structure and environment, through drawings and text.

Basic and Applied Architectural Design and Planning
Students learn about the functions, composition and design of architectural space according to its use, in order to create architecture that is beautiful and easy to use. Also, they learn to examine and evaluate architecture and urban spaces, and to design architecture based on the latest trends in architectural design, using their sensitivity.

Basic and Applied City Planning
Students learn about the roles and features of aggregates of buildings that constitute cities and regions, including their historical transition. Also, they learn to examine and analyze architecture and cities, and to create city development plans and projects.

Basics of Architectural Environment and Facilities
Students learn about the relationship between people and their environment inside and outside of architecture, with regard to sound, light, heat, air and energy, in order to create comfortable, healthy architecture.

Basics of Architectural Structure
Students learn about the features of architectural structure from the perspective of safety in order to create safe, secure architecture.

Basics of Architectural Production
Students learn about the basic elements of architectural production such as construction methods and materials.

Basic and Applied Architectural CAD and CG
Students acquire advanced skills in representing architectural spaces by means of digital media.
